This was an action under the Federal Employers Liability Act to recover for injuries alleged to have been sustained by plaintiff by reason of the alleged negligence of defendant.

After joinder of issues by appropriate pleadings the cause was tried and submitted to a jury which ultimately returned a general verdict along with its answers to special questions in favor of the defendant.
