Tbe labors of tbe Court have been lightened by tbe marked ability with wbicb tbis case was argued on both sides and tbe full treatment, in tbe opposing briefs, of tbe subject involved.
We have to determine precisely tbe same question that was presented to tbe trial judge on tbe special verdict of tbe jury: Are tbe defendants guilty, under tbe law, upon tbe facts found in tbe special verdict? A careful consideration of tbe facts, pertinent law, and the arguments of counsel, leads us to tbe conclusion that tbe answer should be affirmative.
