We are asked to consider one issue in this appeal: what qualifies as a joint-employment relationship under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)? Denise Mol-denhauer worked as a dispatcher for the Tazewell-Pekin Consolidated Communications Center (Tazeom), a non-profit entity providing emergency 911 communications, until she was terminated for excessive absenteeism resulting from her chronic pan-creatitis.
