This action in assumpsit was brought by the state tax administrator to recover from the defendant corporation a sum of money alleged to' be due the state by the assessment of a use tax under the provisions of G. L. 1956, chaps. 18 and 19 of title 44. The case was tried in the superior court to a justice thereof sitting with a jury, who denied the defendant’s motion for a directed verdict and granted the plaintiff’s motion for such verdict in the amount of $19,699.52. The defendant subsequently moved in arrest of judgment, and the -court -denied this motion. The case is now before this court…
