The appellant was convicted on an indictment which charged him, in the first count, with the crime of forging ‘ ‘ a certain writing on a paper purporting to be a check drawn on the People’s Bank of Magnolia, a corporation, which said writing on paper is in words and figures as follows, to-wits ‘Magnolia, Arkansas, 11/22/1922. No.............. The People’s Bank of Mag- . nolia: Pay to Tom Williams or bearer $42.75, fo(u)rtytwo 75/100 dollars.
