This is an action by appellant against appellee, to recover judgment on three promissory notes, executed by the latter to the American Underwriters Incorporated, and by it assigned to the former, two of said notes being for $2,000 each and one for $1,000. Each is dated, Indianapolis, Indiana, April 18, 1917, is payable four months after date, and bears interest at the rate of six per cent, per annum from date until paid.
