The Director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility filed a petition for disciplinary action against respondent Carol Townsend Trombley, alleging professional misconduct for engaging in "conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation." Minn. R. Prof. Conduct 8.4(c). We appointed a referee who, following a hearing, found that Trombley dishonestly converted funds belonging to her stepfather for her own use, in violation of Minn. R.
