In this civil rights action brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Abel Gonzalez (Gonzalez) brings claims against his former employer, the Harlingen Independent School District (“the District”), for violations of his First Amendment free-speech rights and his right to procedural due process guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment.
