This criminal case is before the court on automatic and direct review of defendant’s conviction for aggravated murder and sentence of death. Former ORS 163.150(l)(g), repealed by Or Laws 1999, ch 1055, § l. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the judgment of conviction and the sentence of death.
