A Circuit Court jury convicted Steve Burton of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, for which the trial court sentenced him to a total of twenty (20) years imprisonment. He appealed the Circuit Court judgment to this Court as a matter of right. Ky. Const. 110(2)(b).
