This matter is before us on appeal from an order of the District Court of Hennepin County denying the petition of the defendant, Roy G. Soward, for a “writ of error coram nobis and error of law.”

The defendant was arrested January 12, 1956. The following day a complaint was filed in municipal court of the city of Minneapolis charging him with bribery of public officers. On January 14, 1956, he waived preliminary hearing in municipal court.
