Introduction
On June 15, 1988, plaintiff, American Standard Life And Accident Insurance Company (American Standard), an Oklahoma insurance company, filed this action under section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1, sections 4 and 16 of the Clayton Antitrust Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 15 and 26, the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, 73 P.S. §§ 201-1 et seq., the Pennsylvania Unfair Insurance Practices Act, 40 P.S. §§ 1171.1 et seq., and Pennsylvania common law.
