This was an action to recover contributions alleged to be due under the unemployment compensation law, and from a judgment against him the defendant appeals.

The substance of the petition filed was that defendant was an employer and liable for contributions under the unemployment compensation law and that he had failed to make requisite payments for the calendar years 1938, 1939 and 1940.
