Charles Johnson, who died intestate in May, 1923, and John A. Peterson, who died testate April 24, 1925, were cousins, who came to this country when young men, and located in Des Moines County. Peterson took up his residence in Burlington, and Johnson upon a farm near that city. Both married,' and reared families. The two men sustained close and intimate personal and social relations during all of the years preceding the death of Johnson, and their families frequently visited each -other until 1906, when Mrs. Johnson died.
