Appeal from a judgment of the superior court for King county, Gilliam, J., entered January 20, 1914, upon a trial before the court, a jury being waived, and a conviction of a misdemeanor in violating the act relating to building and loan associations.

The appellant was charged with a misdemeanor under an information as follows:
“He, said Charles Merrill, in the county of King, state of Washington, on the 28th day of July, 1913, being then and there the agent and employee of The National Mercantile Company Limited, a corporation duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the Province of British Columbia, in the Dominion of Canada, did then and there wilfully and unlawfully violate and fail to comply with the provisions of an act of the legislature of the state of Washington, passed and approved February 14, 1913, and…
