Appellants have appealed from a judgment in favor of respondents in an action brought to recover damages for alleged fraud in a real estate transaction.

Appellants were the owners of an apartment house in San Francisco. Having become financially involved, they decided to sell the property which had become heavily encumbered. They authorized respondent Arnold S. Gridley, Sr., doing business as Gridley Realty Company to procure a purchaser for said property.
