I. Introduction

This is a consumer rights case. Plaintiff James J. Kujawa is suing defendants Palisades Collection, L.L.C. (Palisades) and Wolpoff & Abramson, L.L.P. (W & A) claiming that defendants engaged in unlawful debt collection practices in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 U.S.C. § 1692, et seq., the Michigan Collection Practices Act, M.C.L. § 445.251 (MCPA), and the Michigan Occupational Code, (MOC), M.C.L. § 339.915.
