This employment discrimination action was filed on May 23, 2016, by the Plaintiff, Anita Smith, against the Defendant, the Vestavia Hills Board of Education. The Plaintiff alleges that the Defendant discriminated against her on account of her race, African American, and her age, over 50. The Plaintiff also alleges that the Defendant retaliated against her after she complained of illegal discrimination, and after she filed a charge of discrimination with the EEOC.
