In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the plaintiffs appeal from (1) an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Seidell, J.), dated April 17, 2001, which denied their motion pursuant to CPLR 4404 to set aside a jury verdict on the issue of damages and for a new trial thereon, and (2) so much of a judgment of the same court, entered July 2, 2001, as, upon the jury verdict, is in favor of them and against the defendants in the principal sum of only $65,000 ($10,000 for past pain and suffering, $15,000 for past lost earnings, $40,000 for lost future earnings, and $0…
