OPINION

ROSS, Justice.

National Union Fire Insurance Company appeals the county court’s ruling that awarded Latricia Burnett lifetime benefits under the former Workers’ Compensation Act, Article 8306, § 11a, because of resulting afflictions from a closed head injury she sustained at work.

National Union contends that lifetime benefits are not warranted because Burnett suffers only from depression, which does not fall within the meaning of “incurable insanity or imbecility,” a condition that is a prerequisite to lifetime recovery under Article 8306, § ila(6).
