¶1 Martin Kaiser appeals his conviction for one count of violation of a no contact order. He contends *469that the trial court erred by denying his motion to dismiss because neither the original citation nor the amended complaints sufficiently identified the order he allegedly violated and therefore failed to inform him of the essential elements of the charge. He further contends that the amended complaints should have been dismissed because they were filed after the statute of limitations period had expired.
