These two appeals have been consolidated in this court. They are part of a protracted dispute between Flight Engineers’ International Association, EAL Chapter, (FEIA), appellant, and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), over which of these unions represents the flight engineers of Eastern Air Lines, Ine.1

No. 18640. This appeal is from an order of the District Court denying appellant’s motion for a preliminary injunction in a suit in which FEIA was the plaintiff. The appeal accordingly is authorized by 28 U.S.C. § 1292(a).2 The injunction was sought to prevent the…
