This was an action brought by plaintC/s in error to recover from the defendants in error the sum of $1000 rent fox the year 1897 on a large tract of *585land, in Coffey county. The petition, with copy of the lease attached and made part of it, was filed January 16, 1897, and alleges that the rent will be due, $500 on the 1st day of June, and $500 on the 1st day of December, 1897.
