This case raises a question as to the liability of directors of a Massachusetts corporation for the, debts, of *206the corporation. It is a suit in equity brought in the Superior Court under G. L. (Ter. Ed.) c. 156, § 38, to establish the indebtedness of The Martin Trailer Co., herein referred to as the defendant corporation, upon certain promissory notes or bonds of said corporation,-to enforce the personal liability, under G.
