OPINION

COLE, Circuit Judge.

Darious D. Edmundson appeals the denial of his motion to suppress evidence discovered in a search incident to his arrest for disorderly conduct. We AFFIRM the district court’s order for the reasons that follow.

I. BACKGROUND

On March 24, 2006, an officer in the Frankfort Police Department responded to a distress call from a person who had identified himself over the phone as Tony Smith and claimed that armed individuals in his home were trying to kill him.
