In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the de fendants appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Solomon, J.), dated May 19, 2016, which denied their motion, in effect, pursuant to CPLR 3211 (a) (7) to dismiss the demand for punitive damages and the cause of action alleging negligent hiring, retention, and supervision.
Ordered that the order is affirmed, with costs.
