In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the plaintiffs appeal (1) from an order of the Supreme Court, Westchester County (Liebowitz, J.), entered December 20, 2010, *1036which granted the defendants’ motion pursuant to CPLR 3211 (a) (7) to dismiss the cause of action alleging negligent hiring, management, and supervision, and, in effect, the demand for punitive damages, and (2), as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the same court dated June 10, 2011, as, upon renewal, adhered to the original determination.
