SUBSTITUTE MAJORITY OPINION

JOHN S. ANDERSON, Justice.

We overrule the State’s motion for rehearing, withdraw our previous opinion, and issue this substitute opinion in its place.

Appellant, Angel Resendez, pleaded guilty to the murder of Amanda Garza, and the trial court assessed punishment at ninety-nine years’ confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
