This case is before us on certificate from The Judge Advocate General, United States Air Force, in' accordance with the provisions of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 67 (b) (2), 50 USCA § 654.

The accused was tried by general court-martial at- Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, on May 8, 1951, under a specification alleging in substance the making of a false writing in furtherance of a claim against the United States; in violation of Article of War 94, 10 USCA § 1566.
