On July 18, 1940 the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board revoked the restaurant liquor license issued to Peter Askounes, trading as ‘The Candyland Cafe’ in the City of New Castle. This action was the result of a hearing held May 24, 1940, following a citation duly issued and served on the licensee to show cause why his license should not be revoked, at which witnesses were sworn and examined.
