This is a business tort case that arises out of the purchase of a business franchise. The plaintiffs, Richard E. Smith and A. Glenn Shoemaker, who formerly did business as Metro Barrier Systems, brought suit against the defendants, Clyde L. Strickland, Sandra Strickland, Theresa Bullock, and Metro Waterproofing, Inc., alleging causes of action for fraud; constructive fraud; violation of the South Carolina Business Opportunity Sales Act, S.C.
