We have examined the record of trial, the assignments of error,1 and the Government’s reply thereto.
*809Appellant was charged at a general court-martial with 86 specifications of wrongfully and unlawfully making and uttering checks with the intent to defraud and for the procurement of lawful currency or items of value, violations of Article 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 923a.
