State v. Woods

Washington Supreme Court

Decided June 30, 2005No. 74886-1PublishedCited by 25 opinions

1Opinion of the Court

¶1 In this case, we are asked to determine whether the trial court abused its discretion in finding two children competent to testify against their father on charges of sexual molestation and whether the trial court abused its discretion in admitting the children’s hearsay statements to their foster mother and the state investigative specialist. We hold that the trial court did not abuse its broad discretion, and we therefore affirm the Court of Appeals.
