Vendetta Jackson brought this action against her former employer, the City of Chicago (“the City”), for violations of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), 42 U.S.C. § 12111 et seq., and of section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Rehabilitation Act”), 29 U.S.C. § 794. The district court granted the City’s motion for summary judgment on the ground that Ms. Jackson could not raise a genuine issue of material fact as to whether she was a “qualified individual with a disability” as defined in 42 U.S.C. § 12111(8).
