This is a disbarment proceeding commenced by the Bar Commission based upon charges filed against H.W. Sitton by D.A. Bridges, both members of the bar of Duncan, Okla.

Sitton, who will be referred to as respondent, while county attorney of Stephens county, collected something near $1,000 on criminal bonds or recognizances, which were forfeited during his tenure of office, and, instead of deducting the 25 per cent. allowed him for collecting these bonds and turning the remainder into the county treasury of Stephens county, he held the whole amount, claiming that the county was indebted to him an…
