—Judgment unanimously affirmed. Memorandum: Defendant was convicted after a jury trial of robbery in the first degree (Penal Law § 160.15), robbery in the second degree (Penal Law § 160.10), robbery in the third degree (Penal Law § 160.05) and petit larceny (Penal Law § 155.25).

Defendant contends that Supreme Court improperly restricted defense counsel’s cross-examination of the victim, the *1099sole eyewitness. “The scope of cross-examination is within the sound discretion of the trial court” (People v Snell, 234 AD2d 986, lv denied 89 NY2d 1015).
