MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
BORCHERS, United States Magistrates Judge.
THIS MATTER comes before the Court on several motions filed by Defendant Smith for protective orders and to quash subpoenas duces tecum. Motions to quash subpoenas duces tecum have been filed by Richard Marr and John Smokey Kurtz. The issues in *667this case are recurring ones in pro se prisoner litigation, and the Court has determined that it would be appropriate to examine all issues in depth.
