Mark and Tawana McLaurin (the “McLaurins”) appeal the district court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of Noble Drilling (US) Inc., Noble Drilling Corporation, Noble Drilling Services, Inc., and John Does 1-100 (collectively referred to as “Noble Drilling”). The McLaurins specifically challenge the district court’s finding that their state-law tort claims against Noble Drilling were preempted by § 905(b) of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (“LHWCA”), 33 U.S.C. §§ 901-950.
