We accepted two certified questions from the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. In this case, the plaintiff seeks to pierce the corporate veil in order to hold a liquidated corporation’s parents and shareholders liable for the corporation’s obligations. The first question asks whether a judgment against the corporation is a prerequisite to an alter ego claim.
