At approximately 5:00 p.m. on March 3, 1983, the police responded to an alarm of a reported burglary at a residence in the Town of Greenburgh. During their investigation at the premises, the officers observed firearms, cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia and, rather than attempt further search and immediate seizure, they decided to obtain a search warrant.
