Plaintiff, Mierofibres, Inc., a Rhode Island corporation with manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, (“plaintiff’ or “Mierofibres”) brought this action in the Rhode Island Superior Court sitting in Providence County against defendant Michelle McDevitt-Askew (“defendant” or “McDevitt-Askew”). The complaint alleges that McDevitt-Askew, after leaving the employ of Mierofibres, violated the terms of the noncompete agreement which she signed as part of her employment contract, by working for a competitor, Culp, Inc., a North Carolina corporation,…
