On November 18, 1986, plaintiff Linford Warner was injured in an accident outside the warehouse of his employer, L & S Holding, Inc. (more commonly known as “Little Switzerland”), at the docks of the West Indies Company in St. Thomas. At the time of the accident, plaintiff was taking inventory of the contents of a van owned by Little Switzerland, which was parked behind a trailer owned by a third person not a party to this lawsuit.
