This is an appeal by Harvey A. Stover, one of the two defendants, from a decree entered by the circuit court in favor of the other defendant, Harold G. Bees, which adjudged that Bees is the rightful owner of the promissory note which is the subject matter of this suit. The plaintiff, G. P. Hodges Agency, Inc., held the note in escrow. Its denomination is $5,000. Bees was its maker and Stover is its payee.
