¶ 1 Plaintiffs contract as a non-tenured Spanish teacher in the Latta school system was not renewed. She sued in the District Court, first naming the Principal Johnson as defendant, and then added Superintendent Hoover and the School District. Before her case made it to trial Plaintiff was assessed a sanction by way of attorneys fees for attempting to amend her petition, and then suffered the ultimate sanction of having her case dismissed for failure to attend a continuation session of her own deposition of which she had been given notice.
