This is an action to quiet title, brought under the provisions of the act of June, 1906, entitled “An act to provide for the establishment and quieting of title to real property in case of the loss or destruction of public records.” (Stats. 1906, p. 78.)

The plaintiff, claiming the ownership of a lot of land in the city and county of San Francisco, filed a complaint in the form described in section 2 of the act.
