On July 25, 1923, appellee, Rodgers, was an employee of the Hope Engineering & Supply 'Company, which company was a subscriber under the Workmen’s .Compensation Act (Vernon’s Ann. Civ. St. Supp. 3918, art. 5246 — 1 et seq.), with appellant, Texas Employer’s Insurance Association, as insurer. Upon the date stated, appellee in the course of his employment sustained an injury to his head. He received hospital and medical attention provided by appellant.
