J. Victor Martin, referred to hereafter as “the Contractor”, on June 30, 1941, entered into two contracts with the Farm Security Administration of the Federal Government, hereafter referred to as “the Government”, for the construction of certain housing facilities in Dade County, Florida, to guarantee the performance of which, as well as the payment of all persons furnishing labor and materials thereunto, the Contractor executed performance and payment bonds, with appellee as surety.
