The parties will be designated as they appeared in the trial court. On October Í, 1910, defendants Sandals-Griffin & Co., a copartnership composed of A. S. Griffin and Chas. A. Sandals, executed 20 promissory notes in the sum of $1,000 each, the first of which was payable December 1st, and one to be paid thereafter at the 1st of each month. The notes are dated at Washington, D. C., and payable to the order of James K. Jones, Jr., administrator, at the Commercial National Bank of Washington, D. C., and bear interest at the rate of 8 per cent. per annum until paid. Defendants executed their…
