I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiffs Boston Scientific Corporation and Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc. (together, “BSC”) filed this action in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota on December 4, 2009, alleging that defendant Cordis Corporation (“Cor-dis”) willfully infringed claim 36 of United States Patent No. 5,922,021 (“the '021 patent”) by manufacturing its 2.25 mm Cypher stent.
