I. NATURE OF CASE

Victor B. Putz was convicted in the district court for Sarpy County of one count of first degree sexual assault and one count of sexual assault of a child. Putz was sentenced to 2 to 6 years’ imprisonment on the first count and 1 to 2 years’ imprisonment on the second count, with the sentences to run concurrently. Both counts involved the same victim. Putz appealed his convictions to the Nebraska Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals affirmed. State v. Putz, 11 Neb. App. 332, 650 N.W.2d 486 (2002). We granted Putz’ petition for further review. We affirm.
